~ Student & Family Garden Resources ~
why should we learn to grow our own food?

There is a strong movement among consumers all around the world to choose healthier, more nutritious and flavorful food, and to find it close to home, from local farmers and ranchers.  After two generations fed primarily from an industrial, monoculture and factory based food production system in our western cultures, we must help raise awareness of a more healthful, higher quality, organically raised, artisan and community based agriculture arising today.  We want to help find our way toward this dream of a local food economy, in which healthful, nutritious food is something we raise ourselves, and proudly share with our grateful community.
